China’s Aliyun Forms Cloud Computing Partnership With Inspur

Alibaba Group's cloud computing subsidiary Aliyun and Inspur Group have formally reached a strategic cooperation to jointly explore smart city and administration cloud markets, provide comprehensive cloud computing solutions to various industries, and build an independent and controllable cloud service ecosystem.

As representative enterprises and rivals in the Chinese cloud computing industry, Inspur Group and Aliyun will team to create a complete cloud service ecosystem, further accelerate the development of the industry, and establish a Chinese cloud service market structure with domestic companies as its core.

Under the agreement signed by the two parties, Inspur Group and Aliyun will implement cooperation in cloud computing, big data, and smart city sectors. By jointly building a cloud computing and big data industry supply chain and ecosystem, the two parties will promote the independent, secure and controllable information development in China.

Inspur Group will deploy Aliyun's Apsara cloud computing platform. Meanwhile, Inspur will offer information software to support the construction of smart city, corporate cloud and industry cloud, so as to provide cloud services to customers.

With the cooperation, Inspur and Aliyun will form an alliance from hardware, cloud computing platforms, applications and solutions, which will help them compete with international information technology giants.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
