Inspur Group Operating Revenue Up 9%

China’s Inspur Group published its financial report for 2012, stating that its total operating revenue reached CNY40.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9% compared with the CNY36.68 billion in 2011.

At the same time, the group’s overseas sales increased by 81.6% and its businesses have been expanded into 44 countries and regions.

Inspur Group said that disregarding the macroeconomic slowdown, they still achieved growth in 2012 and it was mainly attributed to their positive cloud computing strategy and the full transformation to a cloud computing manufacturer.

The group also announced their new strategy for the 2013 financial year, including promoting the construction of regional and industrial market segments and accelerating the cloud computing projects. During 2013, Inspur Group plans to establish provincial-level cloud computing companies in 30 provinces in China to promote smart city solutions.

In line with the promotion of its cloud strategy, the group will cooperate with other manufacturers to form two industrial alliances. The cloud alliance will focus on industrial cloud solutions improvement. They will work together to develop applications and form a strategic alliance, integrating industrial, product, upstream and downstream partners. The China-made high-end server system industrial alliance will bring together Chinese CPU, operating system, database, middleware, software tool, and application software makers to establish a secure and reliable software and hardware industry chain.
